The United Way of
North Essex is excited that you are applying to
SPARCS (Student Planned And Run Community
Service). We are very interested in learning how
your project could help make your community a
better place. Funding is available from the
United Way for up to $1,000 per project. The
total number of projects funded is dependent
upon the number of projects accepted and the
amount of money requested. Projects can be
short-term, just an afternoon, or ongoing
throughout the year.
To be eligible for
SPARCS, you must be a student attending a middle
school or high school in the North Essex area:
Caldwell, Cedar Grove, Essex Fells, Fairfield,
Livingston, Montclair, North Caldwell, Roseland,
Verona and West Caldwell. Your project must be
affiliated with a non-profit community agency,
religious institution or school, and must
benefit residents in one of the ten towns listed
above. Be creative! No idea is too small.
