MONTCLAIR COMMUNITY FUND:
 Healthy families able to care for their
children; seniors living safely in their homes;
young people involved in wholesome activities.
This is the goal of the United Way of North
Essex: to make our community the very best it
can be for all residents. That’s why we
established the Montclair Community Fund
- to create a vehicle for caring people who want
to respond to the needs of Montclair.
Contributions to the Fund
are used exclusively to address the human
service needs of Montclair. Community
volunteers oversee the use of the funds by
carefully reviewing requests for financial
support from the various non-profit agencies
serving Montclair. This means only the very
best organizations, providing vital services,
receive financial assistance.
We are also involved in
Community Impact Initiatives that
focus on areas of urgent need in our community,
such as youth involved in gangs, seniors and the
disabled unable to care for themselves, and
families in crisis struggling with substance
abuse, domestic violence and unemployment.
Your United Way investment, because it is
magnified by the investment of others, has the
power to bring about changes that matter most in
Montclair. When you contribute, you help more
than one person or one charity. United Way is
the collective power of people working toward
long-term solutions, not short-term fixes.
