LIVINGSTON COMMUNITY FUND CHALLENGE GRANT:
The
United Way headed by chairwoman Robin Beckerman
is seeking ideas for a United Way challenge
grant. Through this one-time grant process, the
United Way will match dollar for dollar, up to
$30,000 in funds raised for a community program
within the township of Livingston.
Ideas, such as a skate park, date back to 2003
when a group of teens presented the idea to the
Township council. The skate park, however, is
just one idea for the Challenge grant. The
Livingston Division is seeking suggestions from
residents on how they would like to see the
grant money used. Please contact us with your
thoughts and suggestions. E-mail:

Providing one central campaign that supports a
wide range of programs, all contributing to the
health and well-being of our community is the
goal of the United Way’s Livingston
Community Fund. Our annual campaign
offers an efficient and convenient way for
residents to contribute to many different
services with one donation.
All contributions to the
Community Fund are used to assist our Livingston
neighbors who need our help: children with
disabilities, families dealing with substance
abuse and domestic violence, the frail elderly
struggling to remain in their homes.
The Livingston Community
Fund is efficient and well managed. Community
volunteers oversee the use of the funds by
carefully reviewing requests for financial
support from the various non-profit agencies
serving our community.
Your United Way investment,
because it is magnified by the investment of
others, has the power to bring about changes
that matter most in Livingston. When you
contribute, you help more than one person or one
charity. United Way is the collective power of
people working toward long-term solutions, not
short-term fixes.
